Veracruz Mexican Restaurant in Augusta

Used to be good, they have went down hill the last few years. Service is horrible now, food is uncooked. Just got home with my sour cream chicken and chicken was way to under cooked!!! Wonder why it tasted cold and chewy like bubble gum!! Waste of my dam money!!!

Food was excellent. Hot and freshly prepared...very tasty. Waitress was thorough, friendly and kept checking on us. Table and our area was clean. Cashier did not say one single word...NO GREETING, NO BILL TOTAL, NO THANK YOU OR COME AGAIN. SHE NEVER EVEN LOOKED AT US.

People are nice and food was good

I always see people in the parking lot as I pass by for the last month or so. So I decided to go there today for lunch, the chicken enchiladas was delicioso. It's the first time I've ever had some made out of corn they taste like cornbread almost. Also too my wife had the tacos, beef tacos and she liked them and the guac was delicious and also nice atmosphere quiet. We went @11 to beat rush and we truly enjoyed the meal.

Great food, fast and pretty cheap for what you get. Would recommend this place to anyone. I've never gotten anything I haven't liked here.

We visited Veracruz this week for the first time since moving to Augusta. We started with Margaritas I had the frozen strawberry which was delicious had actual strawberry bits in it while my boyfriend opted for a classic margarita also delicious didn't taste like sour mix but an actual margarita. The food was fantastic I had the tamale and enchilada combo and both were great. Service was fantastic our waiter was extremely friendly and responsive. Only one small complaint that wouldn't keep us from coming back, a convenience fee is applied if you are paying with your credit/debit card so be prepared for that or bring cash. Overall highly recommend.

Best Mexican food I've had in a while. Server was absolutely on point even though it was busy. Only reason it's not 5 stars is the seating and furniture were unkept and kinda jankey.

I have came to this restaurant for many years and I shall say that this is the best Mexican restaurant in Augusta, ga. The food is always hot and tasty, the drinks are delicious especially the margaritas, don't ever have to wait long for anything that you order and the best part is that it's very cheap! I highly Recommend this restuarant to anyone who looking to have great speedy service, reasonable prices, and tasty food!

I love this place. It has a great vibe, really upbeat, especially on Fridays and Saturdays. The food is great. I really love the shrimp quesadilla and carnitas. Tacos and burritos are good, also. Simply the best margaritas. The manager Daniel is a good waiter, really sweet. We enjoy the karaoke nights. Will be back soon.

The waitress informed us that there was no bartender although they have a full bar when I asked for a Mai Tai which came after I was told that I couldn't get a flavored margarita on the rocks. She stated that they each mixed their own drinks. My friend got a jumbo margarita and felt as though there was no alcohol in it. The manager was less than accommodating or understanding. They don't have black beans on the menu at all. I just was not a fan of the food or what was available when compared to other Mexican restaurants.

As always the food is good! BUT the greeter/hostess was very NASTY. After a evening of fun her attitude ruin the whole night for my wife and I. Don't know her but the very short & heavy. We told one of the managers; but don't think that did any good.

Good food, always full but seated asap. Even better if you call in a to go order.

Great chips, cheese dip and margarita but my waitress disappeared before even taking my order... after about 20 minutes of waiting, I had to stop another waitress who after not being able to find my waitress came back and took my order

This is a great Restaurant to eat at if you love Mexican food, their products are exclusively from Usfoods and I use them in my restaurant so the products are great the food here is absolutely delicious 😋!

This was my very 1st time dining at Veracruz Mexican Restaurant. I took my sister n law with me it's her favorite. I had the Texas Chicken and it was very flavorful.

The dining room is open again and the staff is courteous the only reason I will not give them 5 stars is the food for the table come out minutes apart so the wife was almost done before I got my food

Jesus was the best server!! He created a great margarita with 4 flavors. The food was well prepared and delivered quickly.

The cantina has always been a "Hit & Miss" experience with me. But tonight, I created my own burrito and my goal was met. In fact, it was the best I've had there. The moral here,....use your imagination and request something ESPECIAL!!

Been eating here for nearly 5 years now. As a group of people and just my spouse and I. Service has always been quick and friendly. I haven’t found something on the menu that I didn’t like so far. Sometimes there is a short wait, but that’s expected with a good restaurant. The margaritas are worth getting!
